Protect the caption from cropping
Keep the text block inside the central 80% of the canvas. Story interfaces place controls near the top and bottom, while feed previews can crop differently across surfaces. The editor limits drag positioning to a safe inset, but you should still preview the downloaded image on a phone before publishing.
Choose format as well as size
- PNG: best default for crisp text and repeated editing.
- JPEG: smaller photographs where file size matters more than transparency.
- WebP: efficient web delivery when the destination accepts it.
The main Whisper editor exports all three formats. The transparent font generator exports PNG because transparency is part of its purpose.
Do not resize twice
Repeatedly saving a JPEG and then resizing it in another app can soften the outline and introduce artifacts around letters. Select the final ratio first, place the caption inside it, and export once from the original uploaded image.
