Images and generated files

Images selected in the generator are decoded, edited, and exported by your browser. The generator does not upload those images or finished files to our application server.

Optional public templates

The generic meme editor includes a closed-by-default public-template section. If you open it, our server retrieves a cached template list and allowlisted image files from Imgflip, then serves those files to your browser from our own image route. Your own uploaded image is not sent through that template service. Imgflip processes our retrieval requests under its own policy, and public-template rights can vary.

Technical and usage data

Our hosting provider may process request information such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested URLs for delivery, security, and reliability. Optional Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics are loaded only after you allow site analytics in the privacy and cookie settings.

Google advertising, cookies, and identifiers

Google AdSense advertising is optional and disabled unless the deployment advertising switch and a Google-certified consent-management setting are both configured. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies on your browser or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers as a result of ad serving.

Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve and personalize ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Other authorized ad technology providers may also process data for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and consent recording. Personalized-ad choices for users in regulated regions must be collected through the certified advertising consent message.

Third parties and retention

Infrastructure, consent, analytics, font delivery, and—when enabled—advertising providers process data under their own policies. Technical and consent records are retained according to those providers’ settings and our operational needs. We do not sell uploaded images or generated files, and we do not send those creative files to Google.

Your choices

Use the sitewide privacy and cookie settings to allow or disable optional analytics. When Google advertising consent is active, use its privacy settings to consent, decline, manage, or revoke advertising choices. You may also block or clear cookies in your browser and contact us about data we control.
